Effective: [Month DD, 20YY] · Last updated: [Month DD, 20YY]

Template notice (remove before publishing): This Privacy Policy is a starting template, not legal advice. Replace every bracketed placeholder, confirm it reflects the data and images you actually handle, and have it reviewed by qualified counsel. As a California business, the CCPA/CPRA and other laws may impose specific obligations.

This Privacy Policy explains how Montega Styles, LLC (“Montega Styles,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit montegastyles.com (the “Site”), book a session, or work with us as a client or model.

01 Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from service providers.

Information you provide

  • Booking & contact details — name, email, phone number, and the details of the shoot you request.
  • Client/model information — billing details, and information needed for model releases and agreements (which may include measurements or other shoot-related details you choose to share).
  • Payments — handled by our third-party payment processor(s); we do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
  • Communications — messages you send us by form, email, or social media.

Collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring links.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below.

02 Photographs & content

Photography is our service, so images are central to what we handle. Photographs and video created during a session are governed by the agreement and model/photo release you sign with us.

  • We use images to deliver your order and to provide editing and retouching.
  • We display images in our portfolio, website, or marketing only with the consent granted in your release or agreement. You can ask us about the scope of that use at any time.
  • If you have agreed to portfolio/marketing use and later wish to discuss removal, contact us using the details below; we will honor applicable rights and the terms of your agreement.

03 How we use information

  • Schedule, plan, and deliver photography sessions and files.
  • Communicate about bookings, proofs, and delivery.
  • Process payments and keep business and tax records.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • Send updates or marketing where you have opted in (you can opt out anytime).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

04 Cookies & analytics

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, a cookie banner on the Site. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

05 How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information in these limited cases:

  • Service providers — payment processors, scheduling and gallery tools, hosting, email, and analytics, used only to provide services to us.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

06 Data retention

We keep personal information and image files for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Archival of final images is governed by your service agreement.

07 Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

08 Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

09 California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Access and obtain a copy of that information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including via recognized opt-out preference signals (GPC).
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

To submit a request, email [privacy@montegastyles.com]. You may use an authorized agent, subject to verification.

10 Children & minors

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Photography sessions involving a minor require the consent and presence of a parent or legal guardian, and any model release for a minor must be signed by that parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information online, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
